- Mayfly emerger pattern
- High visiblity post and floats well
- Excellent alternative to a parachute adams when fish are picky
It could be argued this is the emergent version of the most popular fly ever, the parachute adams. The was developed on the Glomma River in Norway by Hans van Klinken but it became popular worldwide when an article about the pattern dropped in the December 2006 issue of Fly Fisherman magazine. This fly revolutionized dry fly fishing for a while by realizing many more fish are actively feeding on emerging mayflies in the film and not necessarily the adults. The "Klink" drop the back of the abdoman in to the film so the fly can be seen by the trout as emerging. Easy to see with a hi visibility post and it is generaly used to imitate all types of mayflies.
