MODERN TECH MEETS AN ICON
No other rods match the legacy and longevity of the Scott G Series—rods that introduced countless innovations, have been fished around the world, and passed down through generations. The all-new Scott GT marks the latest evolution of this iconic series.
The new GT rods are lighter and sportier than their predecessors, yet they retain the smooth, progressive actions, exceptional feedback, and remarkable tippet protection that have kept anglers devoted to the previous three generations for nearly 50 years. GT rods combine innovative performance features with the most cherished attributes of the G Series.
Central to their design is a focus on wall thickness and the X-Core approach. The GT series is the first to incorporate the newest iteration of X-Core design principles, resulting in the thinnest-walled blanks ever produced by Scott. Advanced multi-modulus layups, paired with ARC2 multidirectional fibers, enhance recovery and line speed, improving both stability and casting accuracy.
The signature Scott hollow internal ferrule has also been redesigned. Now up to 20% lighter, the ferrules flex in harmony with the blanks more than ever, creating an unmatched transmission of feel. Subtle movements and strikes are easily detected, while the ferrules themselves remain virtually imperceptible, making 4- and 5-piece rods perform almost like a single-piece rod.
A new model lineup introduces length and line-weight configurations designed to highlight the best characteristics of the G Series, many of which have never appeared in previous iterations.
Yet the GT rods are more than just technology. They embody artistry and craftsmanship. Each rod features milled aluminum reel seats with type 3 hard coat, cocobolo wood inserts, Flor-grade cork grips, and titanium-framed Zirconia no-tangle stripping guides, complemented by Snake Brand Universal snake guides. Thoughtful details, such as measuring wraps and alignment dots, are included throughout.
Every GT rod is handcrafted in Scott’s Montrose, Colorado workshop, hand-inscribed, and assigned a unique serial number, making each rod a true piece of functional art.
