The TJ Hooker comes to us from the Solitude Fly Company. It's tied on a jig hook with a tungsten bead. The body is like a Pat's Rubber legs and the pattern features a marabou tail. I particularly like the black/brown version with black nickel bead and barred marabou tail.
So what is it? This fly features a combination that should cover lots of bases. I see it working as an attractor for stillwater trout. I see it as a stonefly nymph for freestone waters. I also see it as a baby crayfish. I'm sure it would do well dead drifted under an indicator as a smaller profile Zirdle like choice. Trout, pan fish, bass and carp will likely find this one appealing.
