Partridge and Orange

Does it get any more classic than the Partridge and Orange? Time-tested and trout approved, the Partridge and Orange is a great searching pattern. Soft hackles are nearly impossible to fish wrong. Dead drift them, swing them, or fish them behind a nymph. These are tied to last fish after fish. The body is coated with super glue, and the partridge is tied in to be as durable as possible so you can fish them with confidence, knowing you won't have to be changing flies all day.

Partridge and Purple

The Partridge and Purple has become a standard when it comes to soft hackles. It’s not certain what trout thinks purple is but what we do know is that the Partridge and Purple is a go getter. With the popularity of patterns such as the Purple Haze, it only makes sense to keep some purple wet flies in the box. Fish the Partridge and Purple on the swing, dead drifted or behind a nymph; its hard to fish them wrong. The bodies are coated in super glue to ensure ultimate durability when it counts, and the partridge is tied in to last until every fiber is plucked out so you can fish them with the utmost confidence.

Pheasant Tail and Partridge

The Pheasant Tail is arguably one of the most successful trout flies ever designed. It only makes sense to fish it in a variety of ways. The Pheasant Tail and Partridge can be fished in a variety of ways. For the trout Spey enthusiasts to the single hand angler alike, this fly performs extremely well when swung across the current. Really it is hard to fish them in a way they won’t get eaten. These are tied to be as durable as it gets so switching flies every couple of fish is not a concern on those days you tell your friends, “You should have been there”.
