Sendero | The Town That Trout Built
Craig, Montana is for the fishing obsessed. If it wasn’t for the scenic Missouri River and the thousands of browns and rainbows per mile, this place would be a long forgotten stop on an abandoned railroad track. Instead, it’s one of the most premier dry fly destinations in the country. And The Trout Shop is a big reason for that. They've been outfitting anglers in Craig, Montana since 1989. A few of the faces have changed over the years, but the goal is still the same: Get a fish in the net, and have a dang good time doin’ it.

Fortunately, the Spokane offers high quality urban trout fishing for native redband rainbow trout that grow past the 20-inch mark. They eat dry flies, nymphs and streamers, just like trout do on the big-name rivers, and they key into hatches all year. On your next visit to the Inland Northwest, don't sleep on the Spokane. It holds some nice surprises.
