THE GATEWAY TO FLY FISHING
The Fly Project Zia was designed as a youth rod or entry level rod for those getting into fly fishing. We noticed there was an opportunity in the market for a better quality, better performing rod for young and new casters. We also felt it was very important to build a rod that doesn't break the bank and create financial barriers to getting in the sport. This lightweight fly rod is designed in shorter 7'6" and 8'0" lengths which helps new anglers develop proper casting techniques. This rod is built on a quality carbon blank with high performing components and the same attention to detail that we put into every one of our rods.
We didn't just design this rod for kids, we designed it with enough performance to be a go-to rod in anyone's quiver. Keep it in the truck for impromptu small water sessions, whether off the highway or deep in the backcountry fishing for cutthroat.

The Fly Project Zia rods include a quality rod sock. Rod tubes are not included in the price of the rod. We did this to give you the choice of what to spend your money on.
