We are not sure what Brian Schmidt was up to when he created the name Reefer Mantis but this is nearly a staple pattern anywhere mantis shrimp may be around. Interestingly, a mantis shrimp is not a shrimp. However, it is a shrimp like crustacean that in real life can be many colors. The Reefer Shrimp pattern emulates that with a pink hue but the legs and body giving off a number of colors.
